Training

Discipleship

We are here to make disciples - people who love God, do Life together and bring Life to others. When someone new chooses to commit to following Jesus, we have a discipleship track that will make all the difference in the world.

Step 1

You will be mentored by someone chosen from your Lifegroup (if you're lost already, see Lifegroups). They will walk you through a 6 week course one-on-one, explaining what it is to follow Jesus, and about the new life you will start to experience.

Step 2

The second part of the journey continues on from the first, by becoming committed to participating in Church and lifegroup. You will begin to build solid foundations for following Jesus by prioritising Bible study, fellowship with other Christians (particularly in lifegroup), and prayer.

Step 3, School of Leaders

The third part is in the classroom, Sunday mornings during term time from 9am sharp to 9.45. You will find out what your purpose and place is, realise you have been designed and gifted by God, and find your first steps to a significant life.

School of Leaders is a full-year training program that equips individuals to be able to effectively disciple others to follow Jesus. School of Leaders focuses on training people to be Lifegroup leaders. However, the leadership and ministry skills you will learn can be applied to any ministry situation you serve in.

School of Leaders provides training that will equip you:
  • To share the gospel of Jesus Christ
  • To disciple others to follow Jesus
  • To be a minister to others using the gifts of the Holy Spirit
  • To lead and pastor a Christ-centred Lifegroup
School of Leaders is taught by experienced leaders and involves both teaching and practical components. To enrol in School of Leaders or for more information contact the Church office.

Internship

We offer an in-house Internship training program for those who feel a call to church-based ministry. It is unaccredited and focuses on character development, ministry skills and church growth. It is a one year part-time commitment. This course is not for everybody, and entry is by application only. If you're interested, inquiries should be directed in the first instance to the office.
